Extending Athar: A Regional Partnership for Public Engagement with Social Research

This project expands Athar, AUB's open-access platform on social research impact, through a regional partnership with the Fa3iloon Center in Algeria. Through workshops, podcasts, and science communication support, it helps researchers translate academic work into public dialogue, policy relevance, and wider community impact across the Arab region.

In partnership with Agrimovement, this project supports farmers in South Lebanon and the Beqaa by combining participatory research with practical recovery measures. By documenting conflict impacts, distributing heirloom seeds and seedlings, and running agroecology workshops, it strengthens local food systems, biodiversity, and community resilience.
